May ends as the least violent month since Assad's fall, but Israel resumes airstrikes & the ISIS threat grows further.
A total of 54 violent deaths were confirmed across Syria over the past week, 10 (or 19%) of which were caused by unexploded ordinance (UXO). That made the month of May 2025 the least deadly month since Assad fell from power seven months earlier, in December 2024.
