Syria Data Update (March 17-24, 2026)
Last week, Syria witnessed its 2nd lowest level of deadly violence on record, amid 3 weeks in a row of record lows.
The overall level of deadly violence over the past week in Syria was the second lowest ever on record, with a total of 12 deaths recorded across the country — 4 (33%) of which were caused by unexploded ordnance (UXO). The 8 non-UXO deaths confirmed across Syria represented the third lowest level ever on record, after the 7 and 6 deaths recorded in the previous two weeks, respectively.
Consequently, March is currently on track to be the least violent month in Syria in the past 15 years.
