The overall level of deadly violence in Syria over the past week remained at more or less the same level as the week prior, with 21 violent deaths confirmed over 7-days. However, and more importantly, 57% of those deaths (12 of 21) were caused by unexploded ordnance (UXO), making this past week extremely significant for two reasons:
