The overall level of violence in Syria rose last week, with a total of 41 deaths recorded — up from just 28 and 23 the previous two weeks. This marked rise in violent deaths was attributable to a very significant intensification of deadly ISIS attacks, 14 of which were confirmed last week, leaving a total of 14 people dead (compared to the average of 7 ISIS attacks and 3 deaths per week since January).
